5. Do the images of art pieces on this website bear exact likeness of the originals ?

The size of the enlarged images on this website is proportional to the original. Images on this website offer a good reproduction of the original colours, however, colour rendering especially of the 3-dimensional works may differ somewhat from the originals. In particular, limestone being generally moontone gives limited lee-way in regards to contrast. Image file size has also been kept small for faster download and therefore some detail and exact colour rendering has had to be surrendered. In some cases excess cropping is also present.Individual computer hardware and monitor settings may also introduce visual errors. Images may appear darker on some system configurations.

6. What are those markings on the stone sculpture ?

The limestone used for the stone sculpture is from local quarries. Depending on the level at which the stone was quarried , fossils of shellfish and sea urchins may show up as white bone-like markings. This type of stone is often from the bottom layers and generally not used for construction purposes because its hardness makes it uneconomical to cut. I prefer to use this type of stone because of its inherent structural patterns even though it is very difficult to work. Rust like markings are another characteristic of the stone which can be seen.

No copies( prints, digital, images, casts, etc) are permitted in any form whatsoever of the original artwork. A 2-dimensional image may be made of an original artwork for personal use , and not for distribution. non-commercial purposes so long as it is clearly indicated the original title and artist's name and that is an unmodified image of the original artwork.
